A couple years ago in Toronto I borrowed the movie from UofT library after a long waiting list, and then watched it a couple times, then invited friends over to watch the dance together :)midnight/...https://www.blogger.com/profile/01795118895095126990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1194313722894510392.post-1342243520637935272008-01-09T23:52:00.000-08:002008-01-09T23:52:00.000-08:00I mean BBC INDIA !!!I mean BBC INDIA !!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1194313722894510392.post-55548712926952059322008-01-09T23:50:00.000-08:002008-01-09T23:50:00.000-08:00hahaaaaa,:))) this is hilarious :) nice nostalgia....hahaaaaa,:))) this is hilarious :) nice nostalgia. I watched this movie 3 times. first time when I was 8 second time when I was 14 and last time about 4 years ago in IRIB (do you believe that?) of course with deleting HEMA MALINI 'S dance part. I don,t like bollywood's movies but I always watched them just to find some points to laugh with friends. thank you to remind us sweet old memories. SHOLAY was one of the first movie of AMITABH BACHAN Indian super star . it was a black buster in Iran( I know some one who had watched it 18 times!!! ) in 1999 BBC declared it the "Film of the Millennium" and the director Ramesh sippy passed away about 1 months ago
OK. watching of this video made me exited and I talked too mach. nice nostalgia nazy jan. thanks again :DAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1194313722894510392.post-84809099792663619152008-01-09T21:34:00.000-08:002008-01-09T21:34:00.000-08:00Jeerjeerak Jan:Yes, I guess that's why people love...Jeerjeerak Jan:

Yes, I guess that's why people love Indian movies, they are so predictable! I must say, though, that I am always impressed by their huge casts and amazing choreography, with all those elaborate costumes. Dances in Indian movies are the real appeal, I guess. I loved the cinematography in that movie, which albeit I was recently reminded by an intellectual that it wasn't a "real Indian movie," because it was made by a British Indian Director, Mira Nair. She has also directed a fabulous movie, named "The Monsoon Wedding," which is a sweet and very funny movie, and I watched it with my nieces. She also did "Bend It Like Beckham," which I didn't particularly enjoy. Anyhow, I am not a film expert and I can only relate to what is truly entertaining to me. This movie (Sholay) was special because all Iranias watched it during the ban on video players and video cassettes, over and over and ovr again! Very nostalgic.Nazyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12077066782490668686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1194313722894510392.post-9528229712745514272008-01-09T21:29:00.000-08:002008-01-09T21:29:00.000-08:00i recognized the song, infact some older girls use...i recognized the song, infact some older girls used to sing it in our school bus when i was a first grader! but i can't remember if i have watched the movie too, maybe i just watched the clip only. You remember that those days the Filmi's in Iran had those collection tapes of Indian movie dance clips... Anyways as i was watching it tonight, i had a vague memory that any minute one of those bad men is going to break a glass under the girls feet and she would dance no matter what:)jeerjeerakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17991967079566685157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1194313722894510392.post-89490919315382929012008-01-09T20:38:00.000-08:002008-01-09T20:38:00.000-08:00یادمه بادوستم از مدرسه بدون اجازه .
......:)!!Marziehhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12923322595156769876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1194313722894510392.post-55882709414166827332008-01-09T19:44:00.000-08:002008-01-09T19:44:00.000-08:00Salam Leva Jan: You talked in your post a few day...Salam Leva Jan: You talked in your post a few days ago about this movie's video and this scene, "dancing on glass," which is why I remembered it. I remember this movie because of that accident. Even that time, Bollywood movies were not my type. But thank you. I m learning to enjoy different kind of music and movies and I know how much cheesy media help us to stay happy and not taking life to serious. I bet your visitors have lots of memories with this clip and movie. Have a great night and stay warm.Levahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09685239520691758439noreply@blogger.com
