I am a citizen of this planet, who believes there is a purpose and mission to our existence. I pursue that mission and try to enjoy every lesson, every day, and every last drop of the pain and joy we drink when we live. I live a mostly regret-free life, with each failure quickly becoming a valuable experience and something to laugh about, and every success something about which to be thankful and celebrative. I do all of this in and around my beloved Berkeley, California.

Although this is for Fariba, I must comment.
Although I have never had a special affinity for the narges, I now have learned that narges=narcisse.
And, I think this is special because my mother is known for always wearing the same lovely perfume and that is Narcisse by Chloe, so your picture made me think of my mother after I learned the translation!
Thank You.
Assal Jan, the picture is for Fariba, who said in an earlier post that her mother loved them! I'm glad you commented. The flower is called Narcissus, and Narcissi is the plural form of the name. Do you know the myth of Narcissus, the Thespian character? Narcissus was a handsome Greek youth who rejected the desperate advances of the nymph Echo. As punishment, he was doomed to fall in love with his own reflection in a pool of water. Unable to consummate his love, Narcissus pined away and changed into the flower that bears his name, the Narcissus. Be good azizam.
Hurray. for the first time since I started visiting your weblog, i could comment directly today!
thanks for the narcissi
I'm so glad Fariba Jan! And you are more than welcome my sensitive friend. Be good azizam.
My mom's favorite flower. In fact, I call her gole nargess all the time. Breathtaking picture.
Thank you Serendip, and I'm glad to see you in these parts again! Missed you. My best to your mother. Be good Serendip.
