I will miss Luciano Pavarotti. He sings to the angels now. He has finally found his worthy chorus.
I am a citizen of this planet, who believes there is a purpose and mission to our existence. I pursue that mission and try to enjoy every lesson, every day, and every last drop of the pain and joy we drink when we live. I live a mostly regret-free life, with each failure quickly becoming a valuable experience and something to laugh about, and every success something about which to be thankful and celebrative. Sad news indeed. I heard about it in Alahazrat's this morning and felt ashamed that I didn't even know he was sick. Makes me a no good fan i guess:)
You are a good fan, Jeer Jan! I saw your post for him! Nobody expects people to die at 71 these days. For most of my life in he US, he has been a cultural fixture, a pillar of all that makes America's "show business," though he was an Italian! I just can't think of getting used to a world without Luciano Pavarotti!

Sorry Uni-Far Jan. I know that youtube is not accessible by most people in Iran. I tried to leave an audio link, but it didn't work. Im glad you found Jeerjeerak! She is a delightful young Iranian woman who lives in Illinois. The song Pavarotti sings in that video clip is "Ave Maria," which is a piece frequently performed in memorial services, and I thought it fitting of the sad occasion. Be good Uni-Far Jan.

من زمانی که این آهنگ پاواروتی مرحدم رو شنیدم رفتم و راجع بهش تحفیق کردم ...

Uni-Far Jan: I am so glad you enjoy Pavarotti. I have a CD of his work when he was very young. The recording quality isn't very good, but his voice is heavenly and makes up for it. Be good my friend.
