Getting Out!

Zamaneh has published the Farsi translation of the Afshin Mofid story. You can read Part I here, and Part II here.
Feeling somewhat better, I'm off to work this morning. I'm so tired of staying inside and feeling crummy! Hopefully I will last the day at work. After work I will go to visit my oldest sister who is visiting us in the area. I have missed her very much. Fourteen years older than me, she has always been more than just a sister to me. She has alternatively been my second mother, my teacher, my friend, and my confidant in life. It makes me smile to remember that she knew about my first love, and helped me cry my eyes out and talk about my second, and to this day, she listens and commiserates about all the messes I get myself into! Being the "black sheep" of my family, it has been a relief for me to be able to count on her continual support and understanding! So, if I feel better, I will be on my way to feel even better by visiting her! Now, that's something really good to look forward to today. I'll come back and write a proper post later this evening. Be good you all.

Hello Nazy joon. I am going to be back to life. Thanks for your "hal o ahval porsi" and I hope you get better soon too. Have fun with you sister, and the rest of family.
I am so behind reading your posts, just saying congratulation on finishing the Afshin Mofid's story. I get to read it soon :-)

I am very happy to hear that Afshin's story has been translated to Farsi (it would have not been fair without it). I'm glad as well to see you recovering. Have a good time with your sister!

Boos and good vibrations to you, too my frend! I saw two of my sisters and two friends tonight. It was such a peaceful time. I really must see my family more often, if only I can find the time!

Salam Ahmad Jan:

Hee Hee, wait until you read my Farsi before telling me you are happy about it! I had to translate my own ramblings on, and at one point I looked at the words and said: "boy, I wished I had said less, so I would have to translate less!"

Thank you for your words of encouragement and for your re-appearance! I am still searching the pattern which would bring you out to say something! Each time you come, it makes me happy.

Take care my sensitive friend.

Salam Daisy Jan:

Yes, went out and came back in one piece, without a relapse of fatigue. Though by now, 12:00 midnight, I'm pretty beat!

Thanks for visiting sweet Daisy.

Thanks a lot for your kind reply Nazy-khanom! I can tell you the pattern of my disappearance: a night or two per week I might miss reading your blog, and on the rest of the nights I am speechless after reading your post and just wondering what worthy comment I can make. And, every night you see the result that I have come up with nothing worthwhile!

Ahmad, Ahmad,

I think the comments you do leave are great, and thank you for them! Thank you for reading my stuff! I am honored and grateful. Come and say something whenever you like or stay quiet if you like. Whatever pleases you is good for me, so long as our friendship grows. Just remember what I tell my friend, Hadi, all the time when I ask him where he has been, and he says "Oh, I know where YOU've been, because I read your blogs all the time!" I tell him, well, that's fine and dandy, but do you ever think that reading me is not the same as talking to me? I miss my friend and he thinks that because he reads my blogs, by osmosis, I have somehow read his "mental blogs," too, and know about his health and happiness!

Kidding aside, just so long as you let us all know that you are well and still reading, I'll be happy. Thank you Ahmad Jan and have a great weekend. Where in this world are you anyway?

How are you? I am working on my Friday post right now! It should be ready soon. (Is that what you mean by 2nd and 3rd? I am a little dense tonight, forgive me!). I totally agree. The longer I live, the more I believe that telling the truth is the best policy. Have a good day in Ahvaz Masoud Jan.

Nazy-jan! Thanks a bunch for your real kindness! I always wonder how you get to write daily (and of course to have something to write about), and to have such an eventful days. Even more, to reply almost each comment differently and extensively. Reading your last reply, I feel even more selfish of having you (and others) to tell about your life and me staying quiet. Enough of that; there will be no more!

Reading Friday post; I'm now thinking how to be different today... By the way, I live in Dallas. I have a couple of friends in southern Bay area, and will certainly pay a visit to you whenever I'll be there.

Ha Ha, sometimes I wonder how I can keep up with my life! Sometimes I don't, that's how! Blogging is one of the good parts of my life, something I keep up dilligently and with a lot of love.

Many peopole tell me that I have a lot of energy! It's true on most days for me. I sleep only about 5 hours a day, because I have suddenly realized that this is all I need and I'm very surprised by this discovery myself. I go to work like everyone else, commute, and do things around my house. Then I sit down and write, sometimes pieces for publication, sometimes for my blogs, and routinely replying to comments in my blogs, the best part of blogging in my opinion.

I complain bitterly to people of my generation for not participating enough in social and cultural activities, having slipped into an early retirement if you ask me! Wherever I go, everyone is so much younger than me and it can get really disheartening to always be the oldest one present! Hence my complaints to my friends and co-horts.

I'm so delighted to know that you will be coming our way. How cool is that?! Let me know and come whenever you can. It would be delightful to meet you in person.

Have a good evening and a good Sunday. Thank you so much for your kind comment.
