Raindrops

Waiting for the arrival of my friends and family earlier tonight. (The photo is dark on purpose.)
It's raining. I listen to the drumbeat of raindrops on my roof. My little house feels warm and content in having hosted loved ones tonight. I'm reminded again that the most valuable things in life are attained not in return for material things, but only through open hearts. I am tired and happy. The next episode of the Yalda love story will be posted tomorrow night. Your kind comments will be replied tomorrow night, as well, as I need to go listen to those raindrops some more before this day is complete for me. Good Night.

Nazy joon. Nice posts you had recently. I was very busy recently and I just looked at them, not reading them throughly, but enjoyed the topics and photos. Also, very unexpectedly I saw my name on the side of your blog. How sweet of you to add me there. I have to find a time to sit down and change the frame of my blog to be able to add the links. Sorry if this totally unrelated to the post. By the way I loved the photo :-))

Masoud Jan:

What a beautiful poem! Hee hee, no nephews who would be willing to sing that song to me! My oldest nephew is an accomplished musician who plays multiple instruments and brings joy to me in other ways.

It will rain again tonight, and this time really hard and long, for the next few days. I will come back and read this poem again. Thanks.

Sweet Jeerjeerak:

Where have you been? Are you still not done with your academic work for the term? I miss you very much. Thanks so much for that videoclip. It brought a huge smile to my face! 1970's productions do leave something to be desired in terms of artistic presentation, but they are dear to me for what those years meant to me. Thank you azize delam.

Thanks for coming my friend. I am still looking for some information before I can finish the story. I'm working on it. Soon, I hope.

yes, i'm done nazy joonam, at last!
This song is one of my all favorites. Starts with "raindrops" as this post of yours did too, and gets to "it won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me":) It gives me a high when i'm blue.

"all time favorites" of course!

Congratulations Jeerjeerak Jan! I am relieved for you. Now we get to see your friendly face in these parts more often. Yes, that song and those words are uplifting. An excellent and appropriate choice, as usual. Enjoy your break my friend.

I would appreciate seeing the whole poem, as the first part is so beautiful. If it's not too much trouble, you can post it here for everyone to read or you can email it to me at:
